Early this year I enrolled to a course with the excellent Mexican photojournalist Carlos Casalis, I remember a lot his awarded photo by WorldPressPhoto back in 2009, of an indigent in São Paulo sleeping at the Dora of a bank, this shot part of his work of Megaprojects and published Book Occupay São Paulo. Carlos I saw this and remember all the thing we talked about in the course, may be this would be a better shot if I took it more open, but have to work on getting close. #lacallefoto #street #indigent #carloscazalis #mexico #city #downtown (at Wings)
Recently an individual has used one of my photos to promote his workshop.
When I contacted him to ask explications I simply said that if he asked me I would have given it to him (while thinking that it is an objectionable and quite shabby) but no…he…
Alex, any way I can help?
Yesterday had lots of fun. Me and the kids plus a nephew that was visiting us, embarked in some amazing stuff. I showed them the old #cianotype photo technic. And this are thee of the final prints. It is amazing when you combine old old school with technology. Made the negatives with OPH film and printed them on inkjet. The result fabulous and the best part was to see the faces of the kids with the process! Now they want to do other ones, think that we will do some #VanDyke process.

The Culture Occupation. Talitha Bewlay, is a drummer, a baker, a painter and two months pregnant. She and another 100 artists primarily from the province of Rio Grande do Sul have occupied and covered in paint and graffiti a building in downtown São Paulo known as Rua Ouvidor 63. Her partner Andy Kanabossy a former fashion photographer frustrated with capitalism abandoned it all to “live” and be “the drummer”, his childhood dream. There are no leaders in the building, no political motivation and not a very strong sense of a need for habitat yet there is a struggle, a purpose and message. Fight capitalism. Since May 1, this band of artists has been trying to live under commune principles and to have the experience of occupation. Two days ago, like many other occupations in the city, they received their first notice of eviction now that the World Cup truce is over. In 15 days due process begins to find a solution to a building that has remained empty for over nine years.
